How it works
Requotes are associated with certain execution models and order settings. Other systems may fill the order at the next available price rather than asking for confirmation.
What to check
Check whether the platform uses instant or market execution and how its terms describe rejected orders, price changes and maximum deviation settings.
- Know the execution mode
- Read rejection rules
- Compare requotes with slippage
Limits and risks
Frequent requotes can make fast-market trading difficult, but an absence of requotes does not mean price certainty. The alternative may be slippage at a different execution price.
