How it works
European business hours overlap with activity from Asia early in the session and North America later. That concentration can produce deep liquidity in major currency pairs.
What to check
Use session labels as a description of trading activity, not as a guarantee of a particular price pattern. Pair-specific news and central-bank events matter more than the clock alone.
- Track the relevant currency centres
- Note session overlaps
- Do not treat session patterns as guarantees
Limits and risks
High liquidity can support tighter spreads, but major releases can still cause sharp moves and slippage during London hours.
