How it works
Platforms differ in charting, order types, automation, mobile access and how they connect to brokers. The same software can be offered by many different regulated entities.
What to check
Evaluate the platform separately from the broker. Check order functionality, security, account controls and whether key features depend on third-party plug-ins or scripts.
- Separate platform from broker
- Check order and security features
- Verify the broker independently
Limits and risks
A familiar platform does not prove that the broker offering it is regulated or reliable. Regulation belongs to the legal entity, not the software interface.
